Thanks... I work out 3-5 days a week, mostly cario (running, rowing, tennis). Hasn't helped much. Any specific exercises??0 -

once i started exercising regularly and eating snacks throughout the day i started getting hungry every 2 and a half hours! so try adding a few snacks between meals is my suggestion! good luck!0

I have the same problem and no matter how much I worked out (weights and cardio), It never seemed to help. I even had my thyroid checked. My metabolism is just slow. :grumble:0

Cant guarantee this will work for you. but it is working for me.
a lot of working out.
adequate sleep
snacks and small meals
water (lots and lots of water)
coffee can be a jumpstart if I need it to be
list of vitamins and supplements:
green tea with hoodia
vitamin D
B complex with C
I used to get the 2:30 feeling but not these days. I go all day then pass out about 10pm. Hope this helps and good luck

Consistently or sporatically? If you do the same exact workouts all the time, the body adapts, so change it up. Try strength training and HIIT programs for a change.Exercise. Guaranteed.

Multiple small meals throughout the day.
This will not boost metabolism. It may make you less likely to snack, and make better choices, but it wont affect metabolism.0 -
I also recommed multiple "mini" workouts throughout the day. I started walking on my breaks at work and its helped my metabolism. It is working so well that I'm thinking of adding one before work mini workout, one after work mini workout, and a before bed mini workout.0

I totally disagree with this. Exercise or no exercise, this still helps the metabolism. The act of digestion burns calories. Increasing the amount of times you stomach must digest food increases the overall daily caloric burn.0 -
how are you aware of what is or isnt helping your Metaboism , have you got a little gage on your body somewhere maybe on you forehead or on your tummy??

I weigh myself daily in the morning. If I lost weight, then the previous day my metabolism was good. If I didn't lose a lot or I gained then my metabolism wasn't doing so well the day before. It also depends on what I ate too.0 -

The metabolism never stops. It's more like a continuous line on a graph. Either its up or its down, and you're right. It doesn't change on a daily basis. But weighing daily can reveal when its slowing down so that you can make adjustments. I've been on this program almost 6 months, I've lost over 60 lbs, and I have yet to hit a plateau. I attribute that to monitoring my metabolism by weighing daily.0 -
Exercise regularly. Eat quality food. Sleep more.
Meal frequency can help with satiety too. As someone already said, try changing up your routine if its been a while.
Or your water levels fluctuated. Which more likely than your metabolism changing every day.I weigh myself daily in the morning. If I lost weight, then the previous day my metabolism was good. Water levels are apart of the fluctuation, but the statement that I made was that weighing every day signals to me when my metabolism is slowing down so that I can make adjustments.0
