So I usually do the elliptical when working out. but lately I've noticed that it been like a breeze. I stopped sweating and I didn't feel like I was doing very much anymore. So yesterday I tried the treadmill and I was horrible. I was sweating after 10 min, and I could only walk at 2.5 for 60 min. So I was wondering. do you think I should stick to the treadmill even though I'm not burning as many calories on it as the elliptical but I feel more challenged with that than the elliptical now. Or should I stink with the elliptical and just burn the calories even though I don't sweat or really feel anything anymore??

No harm in switching things up, though the elliptical is much better for your joints due to the minimal impact. There are ways to make it more challenging...have you tried increasing the resistance?

If you want to sweat, try this:

    2 min at moderate pace
    - 20 seconds at high resistance as fast as you can with EVERY SINGLE OUNCE OF ENERGY YOU'VE GOT
    - 10 seconds back at moderate pace
    - 20 sec on high
    - 10 sec at moderate

Repeat this 2 more times then cool down at a moderate pace for that last minute. It's called HIIT (high intensity interval training). You'll be sweating bullets & it will be the longest 10 minutes of your life.
  • Do you have the treadmill set at an angle? When I lost the majority of my weight, I had it set at a 13 angle going 4 mph, and I would burn 845 calories. Now u don't have to go that high, just make sure you are going uphill at all times!
