Just getting started

Hello everyone! I am 36y, 5'6", 298lbs (muscular build). I have metabolic syndrome(fat in the middle w/diabetes, low thyroid, high BP, and high cholesterol. I am a single mom. I work full time and am pretty stressed most the time. I have to get very serious about weightloss or I will soon be handicapped or dead. I am scared because weight has been a battle for a long time. I have made many changes to my diet and am definately headed in a good direction there. I started a food journel today to help me stick to it. My weakness is lack of regular excersise. I have to start walking and do it everyday and even knowing that my life is in danger hasn't motivated this change to happen. I am reaching out so that I can do this and make it part of my regular life. I hope I am in the right place!!! Oh and PS my ultimate goal is to be fabulous at 40, thus my username.

    Congratulations on your choice to better your life!

    Eat well, and track your calories, weigh yourself weekly (although I admit--I weigh daily! :embarassed: ) and measure, measure, MEASURE your body parts!
