Leaning toward Shirataki noodles with light marinara and mushrooms, but not 100% certain yet. Gotta hit up the Asian market for more of the noodles. I'm almost out.

I've got some of those noodles hanging out in my fridge, but I'm just not sure how I feel about them. How do you usually cook them? Tips please :)
Oh and for lunch I had smoked salmon on some romaine with a touch balsamic vinegar. Good stuff.

I just finished eating my lunch but I had: a cup of grapefruit and orange slices, sugar free pudding, raisins, a special k bar, and a wrap with turkey and spinach/lettuce/cabbage/carrots bits. Very good! :)
  • Having a SMALL piece of grilled steak with a side of roasted squash, zuchini, mushrooms, baby carrots and corn. YUMMY YUMMY!!!!

I can't say anything about the 20 calorie a serving Tofu Shirataki noodles yet because I haven't tried them. (They are in the fridge though). I have been eating the 0 calorie ones without the tofu added (JFC brand from an Asian market). Personally, I think they are AWESOME. They do smell very, very fishy right out of the bag, but once you soak them in hot water for 30 minutes to an hour it goes away when they are rinsed off. If someone had given them to me without telling me what they were I would have sworn that they were rice noodles. They have a tad more "spring" to them, but it doesn't bother me at all. I haven't had them that long, but I've done a veggie stir-fry with cabbage, carrots, onion, bean sprouts and soy sauce. I've made a "spaghetti" with marinara, onion, and mushroom. And I made them with a Thai peanut sauce and assorted veggies like they normally do with rice noodles. I wish I had found these sooner. They are definitely helping with the noodle cravings when I don't have a ton of calories to spare.

I had chicken that I diced, seasoned, and cooked on the stove in 2 tablespoons of butter with asparagus, mushrooms, bell peppers and onions sauteeed with it. I then took a wheat tortilla and threw it in there - had a V8 fusion and lots of water. Oh and I had a salad with some ranch. yum. Im super stuffed so Im not sure howIm going to finish my calories today but thats a problem I have been working on - learning to eat more than Im used to.

Thanks! I might do something like that for dinner tonight. I havent had noodles in um well like 5 months, so this will be a nice alternative to my usual lean protein/ veggie meals. :)

Well, i was going to have turkey chunks in toast...but i'm not sure bread with green bits is going to help my weight loss. Well, temporarily it might..but it wont be healthy!

    Sooo...no idea yet...
  • Just had a salad with tuna, roasted squash, carrot, onion, tomato and jelepeno! Balsamic dressing w/o oil. and to satisfy my sweet tooth, a fresh fig,a spoon of poached apple, low fat yogurt and cinnamon. Yummy and I'm so full!

I had a horrible lunch, and it serves me right.

There is a farmers market over the road from work, so me and a colleague went over and brought a shredded lamb roll, now we are both feeling a bit queezy!!

Shrimp, rice, veg (yellow pepper, zucchini, mushrooms, onion), with either Cajun or Asian seasoning.
