I have read different posts and have come across people using Heart Rate Monitors. This may be crazy but I had never heard of these until using MFP. Would you recomend a HRM for workouts? What are the best brands and cost? Thanks for your help.

I had a cheaper monitor and it exaggerated my calorie burn (no chest strap). I now have a Polar FT7 and LOVE it

Yes, I think it's a great tool to have... I have a Polar F4 and have had it for a couple years and love it! I don't remember the cost though...0

I have a new balance one made for women. I really like it. It's been interesting to see how much healthier my heart has gotten since using it!!0

I LOVE IT!!!
Never have to guess my calories for exercise. Always know what they are.
I got mine when I was pregnant, so that I could continue to work out safely through my pregnancy. Best present ever.
Plus I've had some problems with high heart rates, so it helps me monitor that now too.0 -
Thank you all for your help
