Need a buddy to keep me encouraged while tracking calories

In need of some real help, while trying to keep track of the calories goal set for myself ---- Keep going over.
Reset a new goal and would like to lose 60 lbs. by next summer 2012. I am 32 and would love to be blessed with children one day and it has been a planning process and very stressful. I have PCOS (polycystic ovarian syndrome) which is a hormonal disorder and causes infertility. So, it has been recommended by all my doctors to be mindful of what I eat and lose weight.
It is hard as my weight can go up one day, then down another and doing it on my own isn't working. I did have a trainer at Fitness First and he was very discriminating, then had a second trainer and he was not committed to the schedule so I wasted lots of money on a personal trainer and no motivation again. I love to work out but I see better results when I have someone to keep me going......any suggestions or help please??? Trying Zumba again and see if I can keep up, and get back on my Wii Fitness Plus exercises and see what happens --

I'll be your buddy. We all need encouragement and others to hold us accountable. Sending you a friend request0

Make a commitment to yourself to move your body for at least 30 minutes everyday, even if it is just taking a walk. You can subscribe to shape of fitness and get new workouts every month to try, complete with pictures. There are also several apps for your smart phone to give you routines to do.
Whatever you do just move, and do your best. You can do this! Good luck!0 -
I will also be your buddy! Any small steps you take are steps in the right direction! Even if Zumbas not for you there is something else that you might really enjoy! I personally love water aerobics and zumba I have so much fun with them both even if I can keep up lol!0

I could totally use that too. I have no one in my corner at work or home to help encourage me so I need all I can get on here!0

I am there myself send me a friend request and we can spur each other on! My problem is eating too much when I don't work out. I'm fine when I do, it supresses my hunger or something. It takes about 2 weeks to set up a new pattern and several months to break one, start by setting up a fitness routine....walk at lunch, then maybe run at lunch one day a week, then maybe add more. But set up the good routine first, then address the calories next. good luck!0

My weight goes up and down from day to day also. I think that happens to all of us. It is unfortunate that you had such bad luck with trainiers, especially since you pay for that service. Do you have a friend who is also on a weight loss journey who you could buddy-up with and act as each other's trainers? I have a friend that I walk with during my lunch hour and it is good to have someone to push me into working out, especially if I don't feel like it. If you don't have someone to buddy up with, do what I do...try to beat your last time, or go an extra 10 minutes or walk/jog a little farther or do a few more reps than you did the last time. You get the picture. Be your own trainer!
Hang in there and keep trying. YOU CAN DO THIS and all your MFP friends are here to help!0 -
Hi Meunda,
I'll be you buddy too. I can understand your frustation! We need to start with a healthy eating habits, and exercise routing. Nothing out off this world but something you could stick around to make it your own.
I'm sending you a friend request so we sould support each other, and add some competions to the task. Keep it up.0
