2 cups of cooked whole wheat angel hair pasta
2 tablespoons extra virgin olive oil
1/2 teaspoon of garlic powder
Dried red pepper flakes (1/2 tsp. hot or 1/4 tsp. medium or just a pinch for mild)
freshly squeezed lemon juice (to taste – 1 to 2 teaspoons)
fresh parsley leaves ( to taste)
salt (to taste)

Cook angel hair pasta according to the package instructions. (Note – whole wheat angel hair pasta cooks faster than regular!)
Drain pasta well and set aside.
In a large frying pan, heat 2 tablespoons of olive oil on medium heat.
Add red pepper flakes and coat pan entirely.
After about 15 seconds, add drained pasta.
Begin to sauté.
Add lemon juice and garlic powder.
Keep sautéing until the pasta reaches your desired level of crispiness.
At the end of cooking, add the fresh parsley leaves and toss a final time in the pan.
Add salt to taste.

Makes 2 servings. 1 cup per serving at 300 calories

Enjoy!
You’ll be pleasantly surprised at how the olive oil, garlic, lemon and spice combine to create a tantalizingly spicy and hearty pasta dish.
