You can try going to a few online stores and see their size charts. Manufacturers have different criteria for what a size encompasses.0

It's going to vary depending on where you shop. I am shooting for the same thing!!0

never thought of looking online, thanks I'll do that0

My measurements:
Waist 37.5 inches
Hips 39 inches
I'm in size 14 right now, and have 14's that are too big now and some that fit just right. Like the others have said, it will all depend on the brand, but hopefully this gives you a ballpark estimate0 -
Every 10-15 lbs equals a size, so you'd be losing 15-20 lbs to get down to a 14 by then. Not easy, but could be done.0

I would suggest that if you really want to lose inches try Jillian Michael's 30 Day Shred - brutal but quick and effective!0 -
I'm size 14 in UK sizing, but it does vary wildly by shop. Getting into ANY size 14 is one thing, getting into a size 14 from a shop that has smaller sizes is a another thing. I'm hoping to eventually take size 13 jeans from a particular store instead of size 15 like now (my jeans are getting looser!).0

just hit google and search for standard uk sizing measurements and you should get a chart of some kind0 -
my waist has just gone down to 34" and I'm just getting into size 16's. I still have bit of a tummy though and my hips are about 40"
I just bought some 16 jog bottoms as my current size 20 ones keep falling down all the time! I'd like to be about 12/14 for next year but sizes are much different now. Some old size 16 suit pants (had the suit for years only got worn once for a wedding) fitted me before the 18 adidas tracksuit bottoms did! (purchased this year)0
