Hi all! My name is Loree, and I am on a journey, the same journey I have been on for what seems like foreer but has only been a few years. Over the last 10 years I have managed to add 100 pounds to my body and am finding it more than just difficult to knock even 5 pounds off. Doctor says I need to lose at least 20% of my body weight to make my condition (PCOS) more manageable and possibly FINALLY be able to start a family with myhusband of 10 years. (Funny how I have been married for 10 years and have doubled my weight insaid amount of time isn' it? Not funny, just eerily coincidental)

so here I am, stepping up to the plate to battle my weight (budding poet it seems) an making strides... well steps. I got a pedometer, today I made over 14,000 steps... off to a good start!

Thank you guys so much! I really aprreciate the support, turns out this isn't something I can just do on my own. Recently I have found myself overeating right after work and working out... around 7 PM I get ravenous and eat and eat and eat, and not feel full.

Welcome, and congrats on starting your journey today, rather than ten years down the road! I have never been a dieter, and am not really motivated for exercising much...but I still manage to lose weight, and if I can do it...there is success ahead for many!! :drinker:

Welcome. I started my exercise journey with a pedometer. It motivated me to do more exercise.

I started my eating healthy journey by planning my meals and a snack in the morning and sticking to the plan. Then I moved on to counting calories and making my food choices more healthy

good luck on your journey. you can do it.

do it one day at a time and take baby steps.

Congratulations on your choice to better your life!

Eat well, and track your calories, weigh yourself weekly (although I admit--I weigh daily! :embarassed: ) and measure, measure, MEASURE your body parts!

If you like to read inspiring blogs, take a look at mine  located here at MFP (the address is in my signature).

Friend me, if you like. I am always here to listen and support! :flowerforyou:
