So yesterday was my first day to start burning some calories, it was great. I just started on MFP about a week now, so I feel like I'm doing great. I even got my husband to come out with me yesterday! So, I work long hours up by 6 home by 8:30. Anyone have any work out routines that they would like to share that I can do early in the morning or at night that are simple just to keep my energy going? Thanks!

Well done you. It's the getting started that's so hard.
Keeping it up is even harder.
One day you will think this is part of my life , I like it what was all the fuss about.

    Wishing you all the best!

If you can get up early then running/walking is a great option because you don't have to go anywhere, put anything in a machine, or buy fancy equipment. Plus very few things burn as many calories as a run. Just choose a safe route and treat yourself to good shoes and sport's bra...good luck!!!

A workout dvd would be good because you can do it anytime... This website www.collagevideo.com has tons of workout dvds with description and reviews... The dvds that I like are Turbo Jam, Turbo Fire, Chalean Extreme, Leslie Sansone (WATP), Jillian Michaels, etc...

When I started, walks were a lifesaver. I'd go out for 20-30 minute walks during my lunch break, and then go for another 30-45 minutes when I'd get home from work in the evening (this was back in January when daylight hours were short). People always forget just how beneficial a brisk walk can be.
  • I've lost 14lbs doing Leslie Sansone video's, they are pretty easy but give you a good workout! If you do do them, I would reccomend to log it as "high impact aerobics", I compared it to my heart rate monitor and it was relatively the same! =) Try to do outside walking also, I do walking on Saturdays and Sundays when my husband is home!
If you have on demand through your cable service there are a bunch of 10 minute workouts for free. exercise tv on demand. Best of luck to you!
