My name is Debbie and I'm overweight!!! My four year "vacation" in Puerto Rico is coming to an end and I will be moving to New Jersey this summer. I have osteoarthritis in both of my knees and I'm facing the possibly of having surgery to have both of them replaced at the young age of 50. I am always in pain but if I lose the excess "baggage" I'm carrying around it will make me feel so much better and possibly postpone surgery. My husband told me whoever loses the most weight by June 1st gets $500 to spend on whatevr they want so wish me luck!

Congratulations on your choice to better your life!

Eat well, and track your calories, weigh yourself weekly (although I admit--I weigh daily! :embarassed: ) and measure, measure, MEASURE your body parts!

If you like to read inspiring blogs, take a look at mine  located here at MFP (the address is in my signature).

Friend me, if you like. I am always here to listen and support! :flowerforyou:

I'm back after five years. As I age, I realize how much faster time passes by. I can either jump on the train now or keep waitng for the next one. I've been waiting a long time but here I am (Day 1). Would like to make lots of friends so we can motivate each other to shed pounds.

Had my knee replacement surgery in August 2009. Thankful I had no complications. Pain is significantly better, they're a little stiff and achy, but much better then the 15 years of pain I endured prior to surgery. Hope they last for a long, long time.

My newest problem.....Chronic pain all over my body. I won't elaborate but if someone else has a similar problem send me a message.
