Newbi here: Loosing depo weight gain

Hello all, I took one depo shot back in February and it is now the middle of October and I am 20lbs heavier. I'm very uncomfertable and trying to make a change. I went from 123lbs last october to now I'm at 141lbs. My clothes don't fit and I'm tired of it. I've been going to the gym at least 3 times a week with lots of cardio and some weight machines. I've also cut out all soda and 95% of all junk food. If anyone has any suggestions please advise me because it would most definately help. Also, if anyone else has had a similar situation what was your out come?

    I had the same issue! I was 132lbs when I got the shot (june), now I am 146! I will NEVER get the shot again. I am watching what I eat and counting calories. I am very busy but I am also trying to fit in some workouts. While on the shot I worked out 5-6 days a week, and nothing, I just continued to gain. Now that the shot is out of my system I exspect to lose the weight :) good luck!

    Oh Man! I was so in the same situation! I was on depo for more than 5 years and went from 115 lbs to about 230! Oh yes 230! I got off of depo so i could lose the weight and my husband was in Iraq anyways so no need for the depo! I gained more weight and went to 278 because i got pregnant and had my daughter this past july. I have lost 32 pounds since her birth! My first suggestion to you is CHANGE YOU BIRTH CONTROL! I have to go back on birth control soon and i will be doing the arm implant for my choice of birth control. I have been on just about it all from the pill to the patch, to depo and no im trying the arm implant. Talk to you doctor about a better option or you will just gain more weight and be even more frusterated!

    I've actually lost weight since Depo just from monitoring my cravings and portion control.
