i am still kinda new to the site so this might be a silly question. but as you loose weight and track it when you reach a certain loss will the computer lower the amount of calories you eat daily?

Yes, it will. I had lost about 15 pounds when after a check-in it told me I had lost more than 10 lbs. and asked if I would like to reset my goals. Of course, you don't have to wait for it if you don't want to, you can reset the goals any time.0

I found I needed to update my goals manually in order for my allowed calorie in-take to be adjusted for my weekly check-in weight. From the "My Home" page, select:
Goals (on the Welcome toolbar)
Change Goals
Guided
Continue
Your current weight should show if you have checked in, if not, update it here
