Ratio for South Beach

I want to customize my goals, what is the ratio of carbs - protein - fat if I'm following south beach.

    My thoughts...South Beach is not really a carb counting diet but it is low carb. So shoot for 150 g carbs per day which is a moderatley low carb diet. You should be well under that especially in the first phase. Then knock it down if you are following the diet and notice you are consistantly comming under. I would go by grams of carbs per day and not %.

    South Beach doesn't have specific ratios.

    It starts out with a 2-week induction that is ultra-low carb. Then, it lets you start adding certain carbs back while you watch what effect they have. It recommends low-fat throughout all phases.

    The diet is based more on making good food choices than strictly counting carbs, calories, or anything else. There are only a few foods that it asks you count, and I think those are mostly because of high fat content.
