I think I can?

OK, so I started this journey totally psyched. Losing weight, losing inches, fitting into old clothes, buying new clothes; you get the idea. I am already almost half way to my goal, but lately I am mentally stressed about other things (finances mainly) I have been taking an antibiotic that made me feel totally blah (glad to be done with that) but it came with some not so good news from the doctor (still waiting on some more labs to come back). With all this mental stress, I feel I am beginning to lose my desire to get fit, I don't want to lose my drive but I seem to have lost the spark I had at the beginning. I am still losing weight and hardly excercising, but I think it's because the med & stress have my stomach tied in knots and at times even the THOUGHT of eating makes me want to puke, but I keep trying to drive forward. Any advice to regain my motivation?

Sounds like your life is a rollercoaster right now.. We must look out for #1 and that is yourself.. We can not be good for anyone else unless we're taking care of me.. You made a great step in asking advice .. I hope you get the support you need for your journey.. Good luck !!0

I'm sorry you're struggling with motivation (and with other stress in your life!). I think we all get to that point sometimes. I just keep trying to tell myself that even when I've lost all this weight and have a smokin' hot bod (lol) I'm still going to have stress in my life. So, I'm trying to adjust my thinking from "I'm stressed, guess I'll eat everything in sight and then sleep for 3 days" to "stress is going to happen, and I need to figure out how I'm going to deal with it". Sometimes I do better than others
Just think about what being good to yourself means.....if it means hot tea and a good book, then go for it. If it means walking the dog, then go for it. Just remember that some "being good to yourself" is temporary (have that huge slice of cake), whereas other "being good to yourself" is forever.
Good luck, and turn that question mark into an exclamation point! I THINK I CAN!0 -
Go back and look at pictures of yourself before you started then look at some pictures that motivate you...doesn't have to be anyone you know, could just be someone who has your body type/shape but they are skinnier than you. That works for me!!
Also, take some vitamins for energy so you don't skip your workouts because you are too tired!!!0 -
energy has been a huge problem this week. all I want to do is sleep. vitamins sound good.0
