My body is a onderland and no exercise week

I feel like I should be more excited about this coz i've dreamed of it for so long. today my scale read 199.6. I stepped on it 3 times in a row and got the same measurement. even switched the Units to KG to see if it would make a difference. Nope. 199.6
I think teh reason i'm not as excited as i though i would be is my fear that if I celebrate too soon I would go back into the 2 hundreds. Did anyone ever experience this.
anyways My scale over the last couple of weeks had been hovering around the 202-203 range and it was driving me nuts coz i felt so close to onederland but the scale refused to move. so I decided to take an exercise break because i thought maybe my body was too used to running 5 miles everyday and lifting weights a couple of times a week.
so this whole week starting monday, I did not exercise but tried to eat healthy and within my caloric intake. I ranged between 1200-1600 all week and the weights started coming off.
has this approach ever worked for anyone else? or is this just a fluke? i'll be back to running and weights on sunday but I think the rest did my body good. oh and also the ridiculous amount of hrs I was on MFP reading about other peoples struggles and successes.

Yeah i went through the exact same
Took me a while to get into onederland and it was only when a took a break from the exercise that my weight settled.
Rest is a key part if exercising.
I try to take a week off every 5-6 weeks, this has been tying in with when the scales stopped moving. It usually kick started the loss again =]
well done btw0 -
It might go back up but it will be temporary. A week off is a good thing occasionally!!! Congrats!!!0

I'm having to rest due to injury so hopefully it will have the same effect on my body as I was getting stuck again.. I was thrilled to get to 160lbs and thought easily lose another one this last week to make it into the 50's but I seem to be stuck again! .. then got swollen leg from over exercising on passive trainer bike and pulled arm muscle.... I'm going no carb again for the week (not including the carbs naturally found in fruit and veg) but basically fruit for breakfast, salad or soup for lunch and veg with lean white meat or fish for dinner.. no bread, pasta, potato, pastries etc and see if that works!
what is onderland?.. I thought it was a typo for wonderland at first but seen it a few times?0 -
Thank you so much for this post!! I was getting so frustrated feeling like it just wasn't ever gonna happen. I have been between 200.8 and 203 for 3 weeks. My original goal was 200 by September 30th, and each passing day makes me feel like a loser, and not the good kind. I did a small assesment of my diary and found out I needed to up my protein and lower my sodium, but the big help this week did seem to come from workout down time. I thought I was imagining it. I am used to 6 days a week of cardio and weight training. My hope is that on Tuesday, my official weigh in day, I will step on that scale 4 times to prove onederland is real!
Thank you again!0 -

it means breaking into the one hundreds in terms of weight loss.
Sorry about the injury. I think you are on the right track with changing your diet to accommodate not working out.0 -
