600 calorie diet- healthy or not?

Currently im eating a total of 600 calories more or less everyday.....At first i thought it would be hard but I seemed to have always been eating around this much, I know its not healthy but I eat 6 small meals half of them with meat or fish, i excersice, but not much I usually burn 300-500 calories a day

Is this good for me or not?

Im apparently small but strong because im naturally athletic?!!
Each meal is always around 150 calories or less.

I tried eating more but I jst feel so....gross and fat that i end up sprintingand running for kilometres or until im dead beat on the ground.

and im not here to lose weight or anything, i actually havent even lost any except 1kg? LOL fail just thought this site was pretty coolhow it kept count of your calories and stuff :)

  • Maybe you need to talk to a medical professional. 600 calories is NOT healthy and it sounds like you may need to talk to someone about your feelings about eating more than that.

If you feel gross and fat and feel you need to run til you drop, maybe you have an eating disorder ?

A nutritionist could be very helpful, your diet is not healthy and other things will suffer because of this, heart problems, hair ,skin, nails, digestive problems, bowel issues. If your body doesn't have the nutrients you needs it can't repair and replace itself very well. No point in being thin if the rest of you is unhealthy, old , tired and miserable right?

I wouldn't do that without a doctor's supervision, and I'd be a bit wary of any doctor that recommended it.
  • Nope, that's not healthy. It also sounds like you have an eating disorder since you feel like you HAVE to exercise after you eat (and you also don't eat that much). PLEASE go to a medical professional!! Your body is going to go into starvation mode if you keep it up. My Fitness Pal suggests that you eat 1200 calories at the least. You're depriving your body of 50% of its daily nutrition!

I don't mean to sound, well, mean, but this needs to be taken care of!

That isn't a healthy amount, trust me. Eating more may make you feel 'gross' but your body needs the food.
You might need to seek some professional help to determine how much you should be eating based on height, weight and daily activity. But whatever they say, it will be a lot more than 600 calories a day that you need.
    Take care of yourself. xx

Based on your profile, I am guessing that you are under 18 and you have the telltale signs of an eating disorder. You need help from professionals, not people on this site. You are very thin and starving yourself.

 I'm sorry and my heart aches for you. Most of my MEALS are more than 600 calories!

    Check this thread: http://www.myfitnesspal.com/topics/show/366898--3-support-group-for-women-eating-2000-calories-per-day-3

Look at the bodies of those women who feed themselves well. They're gorgeous, toned, sleek, and fit. They didn't get that way by starving themselves. You need food for fuel.

The fact that you posted this in this manner suggests that you already know the answer and either are wanting to defend it, or hoping someone will convince you to get help.

The first step is recognizing that there is a problem. I think you may have just taken that step.

I only started about a week ago, before that i ate maccas, kfc, donuts, im in loveeee with junk food! haha groos i know!! i know im not anorexic because my weight is in the middle of all my friends and yes i was thinking that the attitude of needing to run after or fear of eating over that was silly and i discussing it with my mum.
If I do have anything wrong with me (which i hope not!!) atleast im not in denial!?

I tried eating more but argh its os hard! if i only ate 500calories today then i would see an extra 100 left, i would go for a treat like a smoothie or something so I do treat myself!
