Calorie Zig-Zagging/Maintenance

Hello all!!!
I'm trying to find a way of best maintaining my weight and it fitting in my lifestyle. Eating within 1500 cals a day doesn't seem to work as I like to go out at weekends for meals and the odd drink or too and this takes me over my amount, and on the other side of the coin during the week I'm not fussed about eating a heap of cals because I'm sat on my backside all day infront of a computer.
I was wondering if anyone maintaining does this through zig-zagging? I understand the basic maths of zig-zagging and was going to try this next week:
[I'm starting on the principal of 1400 cals per day and then if this works - upping it to 1500 next week]
Mon: 1200 ....Next Week 1300
Tue: 1200.... "
Wed: 1400.... NW 1500
Thu: 1200.....NW 1300
Fri: 2000....NW 2100
Sat: 1400.....NW 1500
Sun: 1400..."
Please note that at my height and weight and sedentary lifestyle my maintenance allowance is 1500 per day.
Any thoughts advice??? :flowerforyou:

By zig zagging your calories you won't be able to maintain, best is to choose a calorie intake for a day and follow it for 3 weeks. If you start losing weight then slightly increase and vice versa if you are starting to gain weight.0

I like your plan................If you know you are going to eat more on a certain day, adjust the other days. Its about total calories at the end of the week for the rest of your life.0

I'm on a recomp. cycle, so zig-zagging is what's been working for me the last month or so. Low cals on fasted cardio days, maintenance cals on weight training days, then a refeed on the weekend.0
