I'm terrified my arms are so huge that after I lose weight I'm gonna have wings...
That's probably just my biggest fear right now....
There are stretch marks on my shoulders and 60 % of my arms...
So I want your honest opinions, do you think that my arms will tighten up or will they probably sag?

I'm 19, and 5'2
My highest weight was 235, and my current weight is 187.5 pounds.

The measurements for my arms (largest part) as of yesterday are left arm- 17, right arm- 17.5

Picture of my arm... ! gross!!

Impossible to say. Skin elasticity is largely dictated by genetics. I've seen people have saggy skin issues who lost a mere 20 lbs while others who've lost 100 lbs face no such problems. And vice versa.

The only way to know is to dive in and see what happens. Right? I mean, are you going to stay where you are now for fear that your body won't be "perfect" after losing weight?

    I agree.

Make sure you are doing some sort of strength training (if you aren't already) to build muscle and tone up as you lose the weight. That has made a HUGE difference in my arms and I just do pilates, no weight lifting or anything.

your 19 so you are young. age helps. are you doing any kind of weight lifting? that also helps. and not hot pink/purple 3lbs. weights. don't be afraid of bulking up. it's hard for women to bulk up.

I have the same issues. I am 31. I have noticed over time shrinkage and with the weights it has gotten better. over 2 years of losing weight and lifting weights.

It migh be bad at first and then with time and weight training it might shrink. Make sure to keep sking nice and hydrated to help with elasticity. Oils and plenty of water can help with all of that. Losing weight at a moderate pace will help as well

Hi! My arms started at 17 and are now 15.25 inches. So far so good but obviously I have a ways to go. I am really hopeful that I won't have any troubles with my arms and loose skin, at least not too bad. good luck!

Here's the real question: is that going to stop you from reaching the weight you want to be? There is really nothing you can do, but get there and find out. You're young so your skin may retract just fine.

Just keep working out and losing..you're so young that your skin will most likely shrink back. If all else fails, do a strictly arm work out when you get where you want to be or start now. I'll help tone you.
I don't know how well it will work, but keep them moisturized to help them with elasticity, even though it is genetic mostly, you can help it a little. Good luck, you will do fine.
