I need some help please. I am 29, mum of 2 kids who are at school and I work from home (arty stuff which means when I work, I am sitting)
I need to shift as much flab as possible within about 7 months, I currently weigh about 245lbs and am a uk size 22. My absolute goal is to get to a 14 but I just don't know if I can actually do it. Not whether I have the motivation cus I have that - My best friend got engaged last night and I am chief bridesmaid!! it's whether it is physically possible!
I would really appreciate any advice you guys could give x

Start out small. It's easier to focus on small goals then big goals. right now I'm focused on getting to 125lbs and I eventually want to get to 115, but its best for me to focus on losing 2-5 lbs then 20+.0

hi there i just started several days ago and already lost 7 lbs. I suggest using your first day and eat whatever you normally do and record it. At the end of the day see how many calories you have consumed. DO NOT forget drinks or anything that goes into your mouth. I even record a mint if i have one! At the end of day one make a meal plan that will add up to your calories needed to lose weight. Day 2 Stick to your plan NO MATTER WHAT!! at the end of the day you will see on paper what a difference eating can do. On day 3 start out by walking 20 minutes or longer and go from there.
It will get easier just remember to stick with your calorie intake because if you go too far over and do not excersise accordingly you will not lose weight!!!!
Good luck and feel free to write if you need help!!!!0 -
I should also say that money is tight so i cannot afford to do much. I have been looking at local swimming pools (its been about 10 years since I went to a pool to actually swim) and they cost £3.80 per trip. However our local authority does gym membership. I thought I could get an off peak membership which is about £30 a month and would cover the times when the kids are at school. This would allow me to use the gym (obviously), swimming pool and fitness classes
I have never been to a gym before so have nothing to compare it too. heres the url http://www.vivacity-peterborough.com/sport-and-leisure/become-a-member/0 -
Best thing to do is to stay within the calorie range this site recommends, plus try and exercise as often as you can (I know, easier said than done).
Don't deny yourself what you like, as long as you keep it within moderation.
You can do it, you already took the first step and joined MFP!0 -

You could lose a good 40-60 pounds in that time if you work hard at it. The key is nutrition, get your nutrtion in order first. There is no amount of exercise that will correct eating like crap.0 -
Hello
I started 7.5 months ago at 229 and now i'm 189. I've tracked my calories on MFP every single day and I've exercise 40-60 minutes per day, 5-7 days per week. I work full time outside of the home and i have little ones too.
good luck!0 -
I can't go to a gym or anything like that because of my schedule and my husband's schedule so all of my exercise is at home. i bought an exercise bike for $150 and i do that most days. i also do jillian michaels's dvds which i know are over there too.I should also say that money is tight so i cannot afford to do much.
