Jillian Michaels workouts??

I was reading reviews about the Jillian Michaels videos and I got a little scared, what do you guys use or recommend?... I AM READY FOR SOME SERIOUS WEIGHT LOSS !! YAY!

I'm doing the 30 Day Shred and I'm on day 10. I'm loving it and see toning and smalller waistline already. I haven't weighed myself yet but clothes are a bit looser. I like it because you get an intense workout in under 30 minutes.0

I'm on Day 20 of the 30DS and so far I've lost 4.5lbs and 7.25"

I looked at your pics and girl you look amazing. How amazing must you feel? Seriously. Anyway quick question do you need any equipment to do Jillian's dvds? I have 2.5 kg weights and a fitness mat, but that's it.

If you are really serious about it I would start with 30 Day Shred, then Ripped in 30 and what ever you want from there.
Most On Demand services offer Exercise TV free On Demand and it has the first level of 30 Day Shred. All you need are some light hand weights and you can test it out there.0 -
30 ds is a nice start if youre out of shape. Make sure you stretch, day 3 and 4 of the first week where rough cuz I didnt stretch enough.0

I did the 30DS and loved(hated haha) it.. Lost about 15lbs and 10inches.
I just (re)started Ripped in 30 - and its good !!!
I want to do 6 week 6 pack and the new buns and thighs after
I find Jillian is motivating and really works you hard!!!! Its great.
I have a weightloss yoga video by Bob Harper - not going to lie - its to dull and boring - Jillian keeps you pumped up!0 -

I am on day 5 of 30 day shred...I have already lost 3 inches but gained 2 lbs :-) Not concerned about the lbs yet lol. I started doing level 2 after level 1 but decided today I would benefit more from doing level 1 twice for the next 5 days - maybe throw in some lvl 2 at the end and then I do pilates for 45 minutes afterwards. I feel great when Im done - altho extremely sweaty!
Warning though - days 1-4 are awful torture.....My calves were hard as rocks and impossible to walk on but I kept at it...I take Sundays off so my day 4 was really my break. It was needed and restarted day 4 on Monday - I feel fine now. So it will be torture but make yourself do it..it goes away I promise!
Also, I have a really bad knee from an injury and for the first time in a year and a half I have no pain in my knee since I started doing this workout! I am so stoked and so happy about that you have no idea lol. Despite the intense humiliation I am going to post before and after pics because other ppls pics are what motivated me to try out the dvd to begin with.
Anyway, Gonna do the buns and thighs and ripped in 30 next I think in November when Im done with this 30ds...I dunno if Im going to stop doing 30ds or just add it to the mix :-)

Thanks, I DO feel amazing! It was a huge accomplishment for me, but I couldn't have done it without all of the support from MFPers. You have all of the equipment you need. For me the 2.5kg weights were tough to use at first, but now I am ready for some bigger weights. Try it and see what you think. X0 -

To be honest I don't really know what the difference is. It seems that many people on MFP start with 30DS and move on to Ripped. I think that Ripped is more challenging. You could start a new post asking others what the difference is. I'd love to see what people say. X0 -
i did 30 day shred at the beginning, i lost 14llbs, and built great abs and muscles elsewhere, 7 months or so later, i now do yoga meltdown, randomise the levels of 30 day shred and 6 wk 6 pk, theyre all great and i owe a lot to the lovely jillian, im not going to lie, her works outs can be intense, but really do get you results, i have lost 30llbs in 7 months just over and love my stomach, she is great...go for it!0

Op I just finished day 1 of 30 DS. I thought I was going to die at one point but I can't wait to see the results at the end if the results I have seen in this thread alone are anything to go by!

i have done 30DS and i do BFBM alot i really enoy that one
i have just started 6WK6PK and am on day 2
they are great coz they arent long and you still burn calories and feel like you have worked out hard!0 -
The biggest difference between 30 ds and Ripped is the intensity. The transitions between the moves and the circuits are shorter, there are three instead of two strengthmoves on each circuit of Ripped and the level of difficulty is also higher on Ripped.0
