Okay so my gym routine consists of hour cardio, and half hour weights and the 30 day shred before work when i can fit it in.
I am only new to running (jogging) on the treadmill, just wondering is it okay to run 5/6 days a week for 20 or so minutes or will this cause you to burn out?

The only real 'burn out' you risk here is going to be boredum. It's very tough to 'over-train' yourself at about 20-30 minutes. If you were running 5/6 days a week at an hour or more, yes, that could be a problem (when you've just started). For now, if you're enjoying it, go for it!

I usually run 6, but I vary the time, distance, terrain, and speed a lot to prevent burnout.

If you are light running for only 20 minutes, I would say Yes! I run 4 miles 4-5 days a week. Just listen to your body and run as it lets you!

Just pay attention to your body. If you start getting really sore heels/shins/knees, definitely take time off. If not, you're probably fine. I can't remember how often I ran when I first started but I run 4-5 days a week now with no problems.
  • I would recommend diversitying your training schedule a bit. If you do love running that much, then possibly look at running a 5k or 10k in the near future. Having an event to train up for can be really motivating.

If your newer to it I would try every other day or try to train for a 5k or some goal. Now that I have ran a half and distance run running 6 days a week is pretty ok. You just want to be careful of injury if your still new to it!
