hello from the Isle of man..

almost 40 and the clock is ticking for me to do something about my weigh and fitness..

i am the typical yo-yo dieter, but the lowest i have ever been is 12.12 in 25 years.highest is 16st 9lb in 2003, i was shocked to fing that i had gone back up to 15st 9 last week.. so its time to get with it.

this year i have had to buy new motorbike kit as i have split my leathers, (sob sob sob) and i just feel like a big fat blob in them... we are planning to do a road trip to france sometime next year and i so do not want to be still this size..

so take it easy on me and meake sure i keep on the right track.

    welcome!

I'd past the 40 mark before I decided to make a change - so know that it is possible!

I started with MFP in January of 2011 and in these 10 months, I've lost 114 pounds. It has been a challenge, sure, but just keep track of your calories, walk (a lot!) or your choice of exercise and you will not still be "this size" on your road trip!!!

the app and site is so easy to use, the support from the members is fantastic... good luck!!

I'm on my way to 40 too, and want to shape up before then. Feeling good about yourself for your trip to France is a great goal!

wow i can not belive how well you have done, what a brill inspiration.

been out on the bike today and had 2 coffee stops, hard going sitting watching the gilrs tuck into chip cheese and gravy.. but i managed to stick with it. One of the girls is also coming with me on the road trip (we have started zumba classes together too) so we are giving each other loads of suport.
