Does Flavored Water Count as "Water"?

This sounds like a stupid question, but I have to ask anyway.

If I add crystal light to my water, does that still count as "water intake"? What about soup broths? Juices?

Curious how all of you count your water consumption. Exclusively water... or vitamin waters, etc... too??

Thanks!

Carrie

I think flavored water counts as long as it is unsweetened, calorie free. dasani has new flavored waters with zero anything. now powerades, and things like that dont count, same with juices, broth etc.I tend to drink about 72 ounces of plain water and then another 24 ounces of tea and/or flavored waters.

crystal light, tea no sweetener etc. counts as water! It does at WW anyway and according to my doctor.

vitamin water or anything with sugar or calories is a big fat no!

It all counts towards your fluid intake for the day.

Though some people say it doesn't count if it has caffeine. But others disagree.

It even counts if it has sugar in it (i.e., Vitamin Water), but drinking your calories isn't a good use of your calories IMO. But that doesn't mean it's not fluid, because it is.

True. It all does count towards your fluid intake for the day. But, just like with food, you wanna make sure you are taking in enough of the "good fluids" and less of the "bad ones". I, for example, count only pure water...kind of to make sure I take enough of the "good fluids". That way I know I am over when counting all the other "bad fluids".

I think it does, but I'm one that doesn't like drinking water that much... I drink sparkling water beverages and Propel... I really do think it should count. there's water in it. if you don't drink any plain water and just have fruits, veggies, other drinks, etc; you don't get dehydrated because there are water in those things... so using that as a guideline, flavored water should count as water.
