Help ><!

I'm really really discouraged right now...I started out here eating around 1200 calories, realized I needed to eat more, started eating more, exercising as much as I could, and I don't feel like I'm getting anywhere.

I weigh myself daily, and have been fluctuating between the same 6 pounds for what feels like forever. I have no idea whether this is TOM bloat or not, but it's getting to the point where I don't know if I can do this. I've been drinking lots of water, especially on days with lots of sodium too.

Help!

This is a lifelong pursuit. You only fail if you quit. Keep working at it and you will lose the weight.

If what you're doing isn't working - then it is time to figure out what WILL work for you. Don't be afraid to try new things - different foods, zig zag your calories, different workouts, etc. It'll take time and patience to figure out what your body wants, but once you do? You'll be thrilled at the results. :)

You know if you're doing the right stuff or not and it seems like you are. This works. No matter what being healthier, eating healthier, exercising...these things are the ONLY thing that actually work to drop the weight. Just stick with it and know you will push through...its hard but you're doing right by your body and it will reward you soon enough. Good luck! just keep on truckin!! YOU CAN...AND WILL..DO THIS! You are an inspiration to everyone here because you are here with us. fighting. i believe in you!
  • Stop the daily weigh-ins - you'll get obsessed with the scales instead of concentrating on eating right and exercising. Stress makes you hold on to weight, so relax, and trust in your body to get the hang of the changes you're making.

Could it be not how much you're eating, but what you're eating? I know for me, certain things, no matter what, keep the weight on. When you hit a plateau it sometimes helps to shake things up - eat something different, or mix up meal size, try a new exercise, just make your body guess.
Hang in there - you're gorgeous and healthy and you're getting stronger by the day. The numbers on the scale won't show your determination. At the end of the day, the most important thing is that you're getting healthier. I know that sucks to hear when you want to see those numbers dropping - trust me, I know! Believe in yourself and you'll get through this.

I work in retail, and with the holidays coming, there's more and more stress in my future.

I want...no, I NEED to do this. It's just so hard to do it everyday, to go out with my friends and not be able to eat the same things, to go to my parent's house and not fall into the same pop and chips trap I found myself in before.

This is the hardest thing I've ever attempted in my life.

I'm proud of what little I've been able to accomplish so far....but I'm really afraid that some small SOMETHING is going to ruin my progress...

It's okay to get depressed. Just get up tomorrow and get back on it. You are doing great!
