This question is for all those people who have lost alot of weight. If your MFP says to eat 1200-1400 calories, are you all just making sure you eat the required calories or are you actually eating your work out calories too?

HI!!! I HAVEN'T LOST ANY WEIGHT, BUT I WORK OUT EVERYDAY, CARDIO FOR AT LEAST 1 HOUR BUT I DONT EAT MY WORKOUT CALORIES. MFP SAYS THAT I SHOULD EAT 1200 CALORIES PER DAY, SO MY QUESTION IF ANYONE CAN ANSWER IT, IS THIS...I READ A POST WHERE SOMEONE UP'ED THEIR CALORIES TO 1400 INSTEAD OF THE 1200 THAT SHE WAS ADVISED TO EAT AND SHE SAID HER WEIGHT STARTED TO FALL OFF, HOW DOES THAT WORK, THAT SEEMS LIKE THAT WOULD BE COUNTERPRODUCTIVE TO ME...EAT MORE CALORIES, LOSE LESS WEIGHT AND AT A SLOWER PACE...CAN SOMEONE PLEASE MAKE THIS RATIONALE MAKE SENSE TO ME. SHOULD YOU EAT YOUR WORK OUT CALORIES??? IF SO WHY OR WHY NOT? THANKS A BUNCH0

I've been eating work-out calories all the way. I've lost 15lbs in 7 weeks. I'd say eating them is the way to go. There are a lot of times where this is discussed in the forums, and I;ve been convinced to eat my exercise calories (or most of them).
Very simply put: MFP already has you eating less calories than you burn so that you can lose weight. Probably a daily calorie deficit of 300-500 a day. So, if you workout and you don't eat those calories, you're body just won't get enough fuel and could actually hinder your weight loss progress.0 -
