Reached my first goal...one that I never thought possible!

I started my weight loss journey a little over two years ago in Sept 2009 weighing in at 174 (I am 5'2"). I started with WW and lost a little and felt great. I "fell off the wagon" several times over the past two years throughout a bad divorce and other emotional issues. Then I seriously started with MFP about a month and a half ago at 135 lbs. In the beginning I had set my original goal for 130...but really hoping I could someday reach 125 and with a miracle maybe someday 115.
Well, today I got on the scale and it read 124.8!! I had to get back off and on the the scale 3 more times to make sure it was really right and it stayed the same!! I was hoping to reach this goal by Christmas...so I am waaaayyy ahead of schedule. I thought I was destined to be in the 130s-140s all my life and I have provenmyself wrong!! I have been doing 30DS for 22 days and feel it has been instrumental to my weight loss. I am waiting to post pics and measurements until I am done with the 30 DS. I now think I may set my ultimate goal for 110, but trying not to focus on the number, I really want to be a comfortable size 4 and have a strong stomach; not flabby. Thanks to MFP and the wonderful ladies in my 30DS support group, couldn't have done it without you!

30 DS = 30 Day Shred = exercise routine. :-)0 -
Is DS a specific exersice routine or just your own exercise routine?0

Thank you! It is 30 Day Shred. It is a Jillian Michaels workout DVD. You can get it online or at Walmart for under $10. Welcome to MFP you will love it!0 -
This is great! I am just so happy for you I had tears of joy while reading this. There is something really special about knowing that people can truly relate to these struggles we all have regarding weight loss. Not just that but the overcoming of all the crap that life can throw your way. Your positive attitude and commitment to the 30DS has been so inspiring. You and the other girls really make me believe that I can reach my goals too.
Thanks for leading by example. You should be proud of the goals you've achieved and what a strong woman you are. This is a big deal! You rock my socks!0 -
Congrats, that's awesome. I have a long way to go before I meet my goal but I know I can do it. Thanks for the inspiration.0
