Hi, i brought a tub of quark (as its very low in fat) and it says on the pot you can use for baking.
My OH love chocolate cake and is dieting with me(he has lost over 20lb) - any one know a chocolate based recipe that i could cook?
Failing that any low calorie recipies using quark would be useful

I sub in quark for plenty of recipes that call for sour cream or plain yogurt. I don't have any particular recipes, but you might want to try a german cookbook.0

I use it instead of Philly for cheesecake and instead of creme fraiche for creamy sauces.0

replace cream cheese in any recipe
google polish cheesecake or sernik, its ridiculously yummie, also makes a wicked filling for crepes!!

i wish i could find low fat quark here, i can only find the whole milk kind0 -
I have used it for mini cheescakes
I low fat digestive biscuit
Mix Quark with small amount of sweetner if desired and spread on biscuit, top with either low sugar jam or fruit of your choice Yummy0 -

You live in BC? You can pick some up in Seattle if you're ever in town. Try calling Appel farms to see if they can get low fat quark to your local grocers. You can also request a smaller, private grocer to start ordering it.0 -

Morrisons now do a low fat version - thats where i brought mine from - i had the intention of using it on my pudding instead of cream and was surprised how nice it was - thats when i thought it might be good to cook with0 -

Thanks for the advice :flowerforyou:0 -
I made these for dessert once and just added a sprinkling of chocolate chips. Would also work with choc sauce i guess. Tasted amazing.
