New Year Walking Challenge Week 1 (closed group)

Hey guys looks like its just us 6 for this one. Which is fine by me.. not too many people to keep track of! Nic1976 will be making up a spreadsheet to record our achievements and i think we should all check in with a post to this thread each day once we've completed our walk and mini challenges. We'll start tomorrow and weigh in each monday.
This weeks mini challenges are
50 sit ups a day
50 side leg raises (lay on one side with knees slightly bent then raising the top leg up and straightening it slowly then back down again without touching the other leg til finished) 50 for each leg a day
25 push ups a day

I figure we'll take it in turns each week to set mini challenges in the order i just wrote your names.
Every Monday after weigh in i'll post the results once Nic1976 has emailed me the spreadsheet. I did mention to a couple of people that i would email everyone but that doesnt work for everyone so i will just continue the threads and you will all have to keep an eye out on my profile for them. I will number them by week and i'll only make one a week so you'll know if you've missed any.
Feel free to break your walk up into sections if it would suit you better timewise.
Glad to have you all on board. Good luck and get walking!

hi everyone. I'm not promising anything with the mini challenges but i'll see what i can do!
what did we say the challenge was? walk an hour a day? i'm going to go out once my baby wakes up and go for a walk before i pick my son up from school. bit rainy today so hope she doesnt complain :ohwell:0 -

haha, well i did my hour and a bit. stayed dry so i didn't get whinged at, just asked 'what's that?' about everything we passed.0

Just did a monster 2 hour and 13 min walk with my little puppy! We're both knackered but glad we did it! will report back once i've done my mini weekly challenges.. i have a feeling it wont be for a few hours.. my legs hurt! hahaha0

I just finished an hour walk - so that's one walk in the morning & one at night down...I feel pretty good
I'll try to tackle the mini challenges later but don't know how I'll go with that...we'll see!0 -
Sorry I missed coming back - I did 25 lifts on either side and 50 sit ups, push ups were a bit hard given my state of aching so I skipped out on them. Also did another 45 min walk with pupster so very happy overall
So far today I walked 15 minutes before work - planning on going out again tonight once I have done my mini challenges.0 -

Sorry for not posting before now I had somehow managed to miss the thread.
So my progress to date is as follows
Tuesday - 75 minutes walk and mini challenge complete
Wednesday - 90 minutes walking and mini challenge complete
Today - 30 minutes walking done so far (more to come this evening along with mini challenge!!)0 -
Mini challenges done and walk complete last night.
Was feeling average at work today and didnt have a car so off I went on a walk - half hour done!! Leg raises done this morning, and I am taking a break from the situps for now - may attempt them later tonight depending how I feel. We are off for the weekend to Melbourne and I have planned lots of walking around rather than driving - so plan to count that too haha!
Did a sneaky weigh in this morning and down a kilo since Monday so very happy - its finally working again Although now I feel crabby and have been crabby since I got in the car to come to be dropped off at work - must have more sleep tonight!!0 -
65 min walk earlier now doing the mini challenges before igo to bed0

the only time i had to go for a walk it was pouring.. so i did an hour on the exercise bike instead and boy is my *kitten* feeling it! ouch! lol will do my mini challenges when this damn smurf movie finishes and i can put the kids to bed.0

hi. forgot to check in yesterday as i had an exam but i did get an hours walking in in a few chunks. 2 hours walk today and going out to collect the boy from school and go into town soon so there'll be more. i won't log it though as MFP way over estimates calories and i don't need to kid myself i'm burning hundreds more than i am
still ignoring the mini challenges i'm afraid!0 -

1 hour and 15 mins walk today with my 11 year old step daughter Carly and puppy Ollie.. completed my mini challenges yesterday and will do tonights once the kids are in bed... Carlys currently making a cake so i'm gonna have to try hard to resist... weigh in on monday... don't want to jeopardise that, i have a feeling its gonna be a good one!0

I have lost 1.5 kilos this week with my weight being 96 kilos! yay... getting there.. slowly but surely.
Everyone i have posted a new thread for this week.. you should all find it on my wall so once you've posted your weight and stuff on this one make sure you go on over to that one to check out your new mini challenges for this week.
