Good Morning everyone,

I am re-starting p90x today. I did it back in June for about 6 weeks w/great success but then fell off in the beginning of August. I am restarting and probably need to increase my calories. Anyone know how much I should increase to and if there are settings on this site so I can up certian portions (like my protein). Thanks!!

according to P90X diet guide the lowest level of caloric intake should be 1800, and you will need them while doing this program.

To change you % of protein, carbs, fat, go to goals, change goals, custom, save changes.

I restarted P90X also, I just went to my setting and added that I’d be working out. It all depends on what you burn in a workout. Everyone is different. I use a HRM so that helps out a ton.
Good luck. Remember the first week you’ll feel like a truck ran you over  but it’s so much fun!

I am not sure about the calorie intake but if you put in your desired weight loss in myfitnesspal it will help guide you on the amount of calories you need to lose the desired amount of weight. The intense workouts on the plan though can help you burn 300-400 calories or more.

    Good luck!!!

I agree that you defenitly need to up your calories. If you use the HRM that will help alot. I always used a recovery drink to help with the soreness and add some extra calories. One of my friends did it and she had a hard time eating all the calories she needed but she lost 55 lbs at the end and was eating 1600-1800 a day.

Thanks everyone, I'm going to go play around with the settings. I can't believe I had stopped because I truly did enjoy the workouts. Just hard fitting them in with my daughter's intense school work but I have to do it!!

I struggle with the time commitment, but I am on week 7 and have not missed one single workout... ok... maybe a yoga or two but I do stretching and other stuff that day :)

But... I am up aty 4:15 every day of the week.... If you attempt to do it in the evening, the day will catch up with you and you will not get your workout in.

O.m.g.!! You look fantastic!! You are now a inspiration!! I have just started p90 for the 3rd time. I just finished chalene extreme. I still don't look like this. I am discussing with another member how to meet the Darb, fat, protein, ect for p09. I am not following the diet I am familiar with it. But have put in custom goals in my profile. Its crazy!!! No matter what I eat I am over. I have just 15lbs to go and really getting frustrated. I am working hard and not afraid to, I just can't get stomach fat gone!!! Got any advise?

The best time would be in the morning to get it in but I'd really have to push myself. I usually do it at night. When I did it last I missed no workouts...then my daughter's bday came and I was overwhelmed and completely fell off!!

You can go to BeachBody and request a coach to help you (p90xis their product). I like it better on this site and you'll get quicker responses. I just changed my goals and protein/carb intake. Not sure who the compliment was for but if was me, thanks.
