    Miles: 189.91
    Lunges: 1250
    Crunches: 1735

Challenge 1: Stay in the green across the board, in you food diary. & Drink atleast your 8 glasses of water, if you always drink 8 up it by 1 or 2 extra glasses. (Do this atleast 5 days in the next 2 weeks)
~Stayed in the green 2 days of the week. I normally drink 12 cups of H20 so my goal was to drink 14 cups of H20, which I did 4 days.

Challenge 2: Give yourself one day of relaxation. During your relaxation, do whatever you like to do in your past time. Its your small reward for working soo hard.

Challenge 3: (This is a test to see how this works for everyone) Do 15 jumping jacks, 15 crunches, 15 squats, 15 push ups, and 15 Lunges (do this as a circuit type training.) I want you do do this 3 times around. Do it 5 times in the next 2 weeks. (let me know how you do with this)
~I failed this challenge..I'm doing JM 30 Day Slim Down Challenge and didnt get a chance to do this circuit training

    HELP LADIES!!

I need some motivation. The last few weeks I have just done HORRIBLE! Making excuses blah blah blah. I had a week of being sick and then a week on vacation so no I'm completely off track. I keep hovering between the same few pounds. I KNOW I can do this, I have the tools! So WHY am I NOT doing it! Ugh.

It's a question we can only answer for ourselves, I'm afraid... but I'm feeling a similar struggle the past few days/weeks!! I just want junk food and no motivation to get off my *kitten*!!!! Of course, I've been making myself do what I can, so I'm not completely blowing it, but the junk I ate today is just sitting in my stomach and making me want to hurl!!!! Tomorrow night I have a work meeting and I already know I'll be WAY over cals (country club food...) and will have to miss my Tuesday workout as well... totally sucks, but what can I do???

I'm going to just pick myself up, dust myself off, and start the next day (actually, it will be Thursday) off on the right foot with the best run I can! I don't lie to myself and say "why me?", I just own up to it and move on. That's honestly one of the best lessons I've learned this year. It's not about the mistakes you made today, it's about how you move on tomorrow.....

You can do this!!!!! Logging and jogging.... that's still my motto!!!

Oh, and April... happy anniversary to you and the hubby!!!!

Hi everyone- sorry for still being absent more often than present- I have done the circuit training 1.33 times - so not as diligent as I thought- the good - while I still mainly have to do Jennifer Jacks ( I can't coordinate my feet to jump at the sametime outwards yet) I have managed to get in some real or quasi real jumping jacks as well

    ;-)

Push-ups are still on my knees for the most part

I did zumba today- or it did me rather - I am all hot and sweaty now, so that's the point, right?

    April have a great anniversary!

Okay... surgery done on Tuesday. Up and about - just VERY slow!! :ohwell: Still having pain - but at this point it's mostly gas. Well... that and the fact that I need to have a BM!! :grumble: UGH! The things Percocet does to me!! :frown: Been trying to eat high fiber but failing miserably! :grumble: Oh well... I am hoping to be back at work on Monday. We'll see how that works out for me! In the meantime... I am trying to rest and heal. Also hoping for a shower tomoz! I am SO stinky!! :embarassed:

Hope everyone else is doing well!!

glad you are on the road to recovery and hope that you are going to get that shower in, for your family's sake at least

I had a great run of 6 miles this morning on a 45 degree temp, rainy, windy day. It was the first of what I believe will be many runs in this type of weather, so I better get used to it! The new cold weather clothes worked great and I really didn't feel cold except the for my feet when I waded through some major puddles, but after that they warmed up a bit and felt fine the rest of the way (happened in first 1.5 miles!). I didn't, however, weigh in today like I usually do because I use the scale at the gym and that was right after the major puddles. There was no way I was weighing in with wet, soggy, heavy shoes on!!! And I didn't want to mess with taking them off and putting them back on squishy... just not worth it. I will try instead to weigh in on Saturday as I'm planning to hit the spin/yoga class I went to a few weeks ago and they had a scale there too.

Hope you all had a great day! I've been reading a lot and seeing a lot of people lately doing marathons and I think next year might be my turn... I know, I'm crazy!!! But I know I can do it, it's just a lot, a LOT of training. So my plan is to start with a half in April and a 25k in May and see how those go before I do a full marathon next fall. Anyone want to join me in the training???? I'd love to have a buddy, even if it's online! Of course, a running partner nearby would be amazing, but I will have to look and see who I can talk into my crazy idea!! LOL!

Oh, and I made my goal of 150 miles! I'll keep this ticker going until the challenge is done just to see how far I make it!

I am terribly behind on updating my stats in the spreadsheet - will try to review my exercise log over the weekend to update the chart.

Holding (somewhat) steady this week - CW 142 (last week 141.5) because I've been increasing calories the past few days in preparation for my Half Marathon on Sunday. The *experts* say that if you carb load correctly your weight will increase about 4 lbs by race day due to the increased glycogen & associated water that get stored in your muscles and liver. I'm considering this week a *skip* on the official weigh-ins. It's fun to be on maintenance calories for a few days - lots more yummy foods to choose from, especially carbs my weakness! However, I'll start cutting back to weight loss calories again on Tuesday.

I'm super excited for the race on Sunday - this will be my chance to see the changes as a result of all my hard work, both in weight loss & also increased focus strength training for the past 6 months.

You got this.... I did a carb load for several days before my half and felt amazing!!!! You will too!!! And the weight will come right back off after, so don't worry. Enjoy the race!

I'm still getting used to shopping for this new body of mine.... sure is fun! Found a super cute sweater dress and leggings to go with the boots I got a few weeks ago... Fun to be able to wear such cute trendy things and feel good about it! Keep your eyes on the prize, girls... we can DO this!!

Running eight tomorrow morning... supposed to be chilly but no rain, so I'm heading out early!!!!

Okay... so I didn't get to go back to work on Monday. :frown: I see MD again on Wednesday, so hope to be released for work on Thursday. Today was the first day I could actually get up from the couch/chair and not hurt. I can stoop and bend and everything else so I see no reason why I can't get back to work. It's really aggravated me that I can't work out. Laying around doing absolutely NOTHING has gained me 6#. Okay... it had something to do with the bad food choices too. Since I haven't been much in the mood to make anything... well... let's just leave it at bad choices!! In any case, I think Monday I will try getting back on the elliptical at a slow easy pace, low incline, etc. As much as I hate working out... I hate NOT doing it even more! Will see the Slave Driver next Monday. Can't wait to see how THAT'S gonna go. (note the sarcasm!)

Hope everyone is enjoying the weekend!!

Well, I weighed in today since I couldn't on Thursday and I'm at 131.2, which is down from 134 when we started this challenge. I realize there's another week, but even if that's all I get, I'm not disappointed. It was nice to see my 129 for a week or two, but this isn't the month I was meant to stay in the 120's, so maybe it's next month! Either way, I'm setting new goals for running and that's helping me keep focused. These last 4 pounds will come off when they're ready. In the meantime I'm trying to get used to my new body and how to shop for and dress this new figure! Can't wait to wear the new sweater dress I bought yesterday when I sing at church next week! I wanted to wear it today, but I really wanted to wear it next week instead, so I did something different today.

Hope you all have a great weekend!!!

I haven't been around much the past week or two, with work being extra crazy (midterm season!) and being sick for those couple of weeks. But I'll get caught up on all of your posts soon.

I just wanted to say that I ran my first race today - a 10K! My husband did it too, and it was his first race too. My training fell off a lot in the past few weeks, so I didn't do quite as well as I hoped, but I was 2 minutes faster than last week's practice run, so that was something. I wanted to finish in under 75 minutes, and I managed 73 minutes, even with walking bits of the second half. My first 5k was good, but the second was definitely weaker than I'd hoped. But I'm really happy I got out and did it, and as I reminded myself out there, even the slowest day running is faster and healthier than sitting on the couch!

So now I'm going to go sit on the couch and read my novel!

Alegria.... AWESOME job on the 10k! My first (and only thus far) I finished in 64 minutes, but I was training SUPER hard for that. I know I could beat that but don't have another scheduled yet. Keep up the amazing work!

April,.... a wildcard challenge sounds just fine to me for this last week! It's going to be hard for me to focus on much anyway...

The reason for my lack of focus... I'm going to VEGAS in three weeks!!!!! I'm so excited and already wondering what I should pack, and can I fit it all in a carryon so I don't have to pay to take a suitcase, and will I have enough money to eat while I'm there and ... you get the idea... I can't stop thinking about Vegas!!!!

Yeah, so I'm also wondering how much running I can do in Vegas... I WILL be packing my running gear for SURE! I know, I'm crazy like that.... it's ok!

Where is everyone????? Hope you're all doing ok... I ran another 5 this morning, so I'm pretty proud to be kicking the pants off this 150 mile goal of mine!

It's almost Halloween... and I still haven't purchased candy! I know if it's in the house I'm bound to eat too much!!!!

Hello Everyone!! Its been awhile I know. Life has been keeping me EXTREMELY busy, which, Im ok with that (for the most part). I have lost all ambition in the past few weeks. BUT, I am giving myself something to look forward to. My plan is to lose 100 pounds, and once I hit that goal, going to plan a WEEKS getaway with my hubby, (somewhere exotic) and I think were going to renew our vows. :) I should have this done by our 5 year anniversary (I hope). Which I have 2 years to get it done. That is with or without getting pregnant in between.. :) I want to be able to wear a simple dress and look beautiful in it. :) Excited to see what I can do. Going to talk to my husband, and I hope I can talk him into doing this with me. :) Maybe give us both some ambition to work on losing some weight.. :) hope everyone is doing well!

That's a really great goal, April! Sounds like a nice reward for a steady, sustained effort over the next 2 years!

Sorry I've been MIA.... super busy at work! Plan to weigh in sometime in the next few days - should hopefully be back within 1 lb or so of pre-race weight.

well I ended the month today at 142.5 - just a bit over goal 142. I was under goal at 141.5 two weeks ago... then between pre-race carb loading and post-race celebration managed to gain a bit back. I started this challenge at 150 lbs, so I'm still down 7.5 lbs and that's a victory in my book!

However, the gain was well worth it to hit a new PR in the half marathon - 2:11:15  I think that I'll be able to break 2 hrs once I get down to goal weight - am already signed up for 3 Half Marathons next year, plus some winter trail races in the 10-15 mile range.

Unfortunately my strength training didn't go as well as planned - I'm short on all areas. However, I'm starting 30 Day Shred tonight so hopefully Nov will see great progress! Will put my final #s into the chart tonight!

Hi everyone! I'm very sorry I dropped the ball on participating in this group/challenge. The house hunting turned into house buying and will shortly be house moving! Very exciting but very stressful process. My fitness has taken a dive...I haven't properly worked out in weeks and I'm barely maintaining my weight (within a 3 pound range), and I noticed it is scooting up a little bit (I'm wondering if it is my new BC pills to blame).

Very excited on the new house as there's room in the garage for us to put in our own little gym, and there is a brand new running trail that loops around our community (we measured it and it is a large 2 mile square). Very excited at the thought of putting in some good miles on that thing.

So, like I said, I'm very sorry that I haven't been in here for all of you. I am very proud of everyone and their progress. I would love to participate in whatever challenge is created next. :)
