I went to the gym and walked a mile in 22 mins at 3.0 speed.....On the machine is only said I burned 89 calories....But on MFP it says I burned 132....Why is there such a big difference and which one should I go off of?

I always notice variation between different things too.
Did you enter your age and weight on the machine at the gym? That's one of the things that comes to mind and could probably affect the machine's estimate.0 -
yup yup it had me enter my weight, not age though0

I agree with the other post that plugging in your stats will get a more accurate count, but still everyone is different. Have you ever considered a bodybugg? I have one & really love it. Tracks all the calories I burn for a workout & for the whole day & even counts my steps that I set my goal at 10,000 per day. It is the most accurate device I have found. I used to use a Polor hrm but that doesn't even compare to this. message me if you would like more info.
