Prom Dresses!
Okay, I know its pretty far away~
But by the time May/June comes along I'll be around a size 12 (hopefully!)
I was just wondering...I really love the look of Mini Ball Gowns...but are shorter dresses fine for Prom? I know its a random question, but I wanna know opinions

usually Prom is longer elegant dresses ... Shorter dresses are usually more casual looking.. but hey it's YOUR prom, do what you want!0

My niece is going with shorter prom dress. She doesn't like the long dresses. Go with what you feel good in.0

There are many shorter dresses for prom. I personnally like the long ones better, but i saw girls looking GORGEOUS in the short elegant ones :]
And ps: never to early to think about prom! Better to look for a dress soon before they are all picked over0 -
My prom dress was short (top of knee). It was 1993 though!0

Prom has no limits anymore. Go with what you feel confident in and rock your outfit with a great smile and a great attitude. And just as a little side note: IF there is a rule to long/short break the rule and encourage difference! : )0

Thanks~!
This is actually Juniour Prom..wasn't sure if a shorter dress would be acceptable.
But hey! I might even fall in love with a long dress when shopping..I don't even have a definate style in my mind x-x;0 -
It's your prom and your memories so wear what fits your style. My prom was quite some time ago but every year I see the younger generation off to their prom. I've seen everything from long and elegant to barely there. I have a girlfriend whose niece wore a mid thigh cute yellow dress with fishnets and black combat boots. Knowing her style she actually did look gorgeous. Not everyone is that daring but I'm just saying you should wear what you like and what you are comfortable in.0

It's been a decade since I went to my last prom, but considering that I've gone to a total of 7...I think i shall chime in.
Short and sexy is always a good look as long as it doesn't look too skany and short. Long, only works if you aren't short....thats only because dresses are made for taller people and by the time they cut off 100 inches it no longer looks the same.
I'm short, but I went with a long Chinese Laundry dress for senior prom....Junior I wore a short Jessica McClintock dress. All other proms I wore a dress from Saint Tropez, Vera Wang, etc.0
