Why do people write bump after a message in the forum room?

I am really curious and want to know. Loads of people write the word Bump after posts why?

If you answer this question Thank you! I've been wanting to know for a while now :)

    They write bump because they are bumping it back up to the top of the list.

    it could be that they want it to show up under "my topics" so that they can find it easier later or follow it? I've never done that but I've seen a couple posts that I've thought hmmmm maybe that's why someone bumped it! lol

    bump = bring up my posts
    click on "my topics" link under Community, and anything you've "bumped" will be there.
