Another MFP Newbie - Hi Everyone!!

Hello fellow weight loss comrades!
I have been lurking a few days and my shyness has somewhat diminished now so - saying hello!

I am currently 237lbs, 5ft,4in. I would like to lose 100 lbs. I have actually lost three pounds since I started tracking my intake and excercising a little. I am taking things one day at a time.

Background: I am an emotional eater. I am a binger sometimes. It is a shameful thing that I hide and do when my emotions are out of control. However...

I am ready to take control and address my issues with food! I am not sure where to start, but blurting out my life story helps a bit LOL!

    First off, welcome!! Congratulations for taking back control of your life- it's a great feeling!
    It's hard, sometimes all else goes to crap when emotions get involved. However, acknowledging this is the first step to fixing it! Nicely done :)
    It can be hard at first, so if you need any help or support feel free to friend or message me if you need advice or just to vent!

    If you are looking for support friend me! This website has really worked for me - it made me realize the calorie content in the things I eat & I don't feel so bad going over my calories for the day because tomorrow is a new day! I view it as a lifestyle change not a diet & this website has really helped - Welcome! Also I find putting the food diary on public helps reign me in sometimes - don't want other people seeing me binge :)
