is that it forces me to think about what I eat and makes me plan what I should eat. I was in such a rut of eating the same stuff daily because of convenience, that I forgot how much I love certain food, but stopped buying and eating them because they were not low-fat or some other reason.
Today, for the first time in years I actually looked at a label on brie. I stopped buying Brie because I always heard it was too fattening. Now that I know something about nutrition, I realize I can have brie - just in moderation.
Food has taken on meaning. I can eat yummy things, I just need to plan them into my food day.
Lunch today was 1/2 slice toasted whole wheat bread, 1.5 ounces brie and 1.5 ounces ham with a romain lettuce leaf. So delicious and so low cal - 263
I never would have thought of it, and would probably have eating something else much higher in calories, if I hadn't started logging food.
Anyone else finding or rediscovering yummy foods?

I'm just starting to delve down the road of rediscovering food. The one thing I went back to is a multigrain bread. In moderation - it's ok. And it brings so much flavor!
I also discovered the beauty of a slow cooker! My husband and I have been together for almost ten years - and he's done most of the cooking. Normally it's a steak and potato or fish - but the problem I run into is he salts and butters everything! This was simple and good and the veggies taste like veggies!

it is a cool thing. I don't really have anything that I've rediscovered, just things I didn't eat often: bananas, apples, yogurt, etc.0
