How does it affect you and your body?
I know some eat quite a bit. I know some get very grouchy.
Myself, I get sick.

All of the above for me- I get cranky, eat too much and then feel sick. I get a lot of headaches if I am too stressed.
One of my favorite things to do when I get stressed is have a glass of pinot noir, and soak in the hot tub!

My stress level has been so high for so long, that it is my new 'normal' I think! Most of the time, I get tired, worn down and crave carbs like crazy. If the stress gets excessively higher, than I can't eat. I don't know anymore what I do without the stress. It has been a horrible couple of years in my house.0

Stress disorders run in my family actually ^^
I don't have the symptoms of a stress disorder, although I believe I do have one. From what I understand, my body deals with the stress in a strange way, so that I don't feel stressed.
I have very strong visual snow, along with other visual "issues" such as seeing large splotches of colors everywhere (especially around electricity such as wires). When I am going through a very stressful time, I get stomach and eye pains, and my ears often begin to ring.
I think stress can effect the entire body because of this... I feel very fortunate though that my body deals with stress in this way, as I can live a happy, calm life0 -
Read somewhere when stressed, the body converts more food to fat, but it's been awhile. Haven't seem a lot of big folks from the Bahamas or trinadad or Jamaica so maybe there's something to it :)0

I get really quiet, if you insist on talking to me then I will be very short or sound rude. I think constantly about what is stressing me, then I get more stressed. Then after like 10 hours I start to cry.
But my stress level is always high. This is for those special occasions when stress is bananas.

I honestly rarely get stressed. And when I do, its generally self inflicted. bad attitude/outlook or Ive procrastinated too much. When I do, I get quiet and sulkish. Sometimes a little short. Oh, and I used to drown it in icecream. haha0

It all depends on how stressed I am - if I'm mildly stressed, I'll want to eat the world to get my mind off things, and want to sleep loads. If I'm super stressed, I completely lose my appetite and not be able to sleep.0

I recently got so incredibly stressed that I literally had a pseudo-stroke.
But general daily stress has been increasing, too...and I stress eat, stress drink...also have lupus so too much stress means major flare, so stress = kidney issues too, which causes more stress because I have to take more pills that will make me more fat. ugh,.0 -
It makes me irritable0

Digestive issues, quiet, distant, I stop opening up about how I feel, it becomes more bursts of WTF are you doings? And stuff like that until someone takes the time to ask me what's up, I really recluse and try to do it on my own which is probably the worst thing to do.0

Some people lose weight when stressed....i put on weight. Also, bad habits in the past have led me to sucking down beer and booze to help with stress. Its not a good solution! Made me feelnworse and put on weight.

I know it is time to relax and re-group when I get migraines and/or GI issues. If I hold things in too long, somethings got to give, and it is usually my body...ha! As a single Mom of two boys and working full time in the medical field, sitting down isn't always an option (and exercise is even more of an effort). Any tips to help reduce stress???0
