The only negative effect too much fiber can have nutritionally is you could get a vitamin deficiency because (from my understanding of it) fiber will absorb the vitamins before your body the chance to. As long as you're drinking a lot of water and not getting any GI problems then I wouldn't worry about it.0

Wow! That's a lot of fibre! I would aim for 30-45g per day... too much fibre can cause malabsorption of nutrients. Oh and make sure you drink loads of fluid if you have loads of fibre.0

I drink loads of water like 11 or 12+ cups so and alot of my fuits have alot of fiber and my gaol according to MFP is 14g so like right now I'm at 55 I think0

MFP's fiber goal is way off. 25g is a minimum goal for women from what I've read. 35 for men. Don't fret over it as long as you don't have GI troubles.0

I guess it all depends on how you feel. Like others say, MFP is way under for recommended daily fibre, people should aim for at least 25 g. Sometimes I end up with over 40 g a day because of what I happen to eat, and I have not had problems.0
