I just got the 30 day shred in the mail last night! Gonna start it tomorrow (have a doctor appt tonight after work) after work with a friend. I got the mat and weights and I'm READY TO SHED!!!! I recently joined here, so do I post pics before and then after the 30 days are over? Do I join a group? Start a group? My goal is to lose at least 10 lbs by Christmas!!! I pray this works! I need the support and motivation!

Welcome to MFP!! Congrats on getting the shred. I am almost done with it. (day 25)
    Things I have learned:
    I hate Jillian Michaels
    I love Jillian Michaels
Don't make the scale your life.. inches WILL be lost.
The first week you WILL be sore.
    Push yourself.
I will feel great.. as soon as I am done with this 25 min workout!!
It's ok to take ONE day off but any more is unacceptable!

    Hope some of this works.

Started Level 3 last night after I took my vigorous Zumba class (after missing three weeks of Zumba). I couldnt believe I still came home helped my little one with her homework and then did Level 3 of Shred! I amaze myself sometimes! You are definitely about to be on an adventure. I've been doing Shred for 20 days minus a few days of Level 2 and began level 3 last night. It is very helpful to take before and after pictures, but most of all before and after measurements because you will lose more inches than weight. Since doing the Shred I think I may have lost about 4 pounds, but I have lost 7 inches throughout my body which is awesome! Whatever happens dont give up, its challenging, but one thing about Jillian is she does bring results everytime! ;-)

I am starting it Thursday eve, that's when I will be able to go buy it. Found it at walmart for 9.95, there is NO reason anyone shouldn't be able to get this. We all waste 10 bux on something we don't need..lol
  • Although I must admit, I'm a little nervous, I'm extremely excited to start! I can't wait to feel better about my body! I lost all most all of my baby weight after having my little princess but then for some reason put 10 lbs back on and haven't lost it. I really want to look fabulous for my husbands Christmas party (short-term motivator), but mainly want to look good in my clothes again! I'm praying the 30DS and MFP can really help me!

Hi. I've just finished Day 2 Level 2 (Day 12) and this is my second round. I only got to day 24 the last time because I fell at the gym and sprained my ankle and was out of action for 2 weeks. So I started all over again but I can promise you now, it will make you feel strong, you will lose inches (but don't bank on too many pounds). It's really quite amazing. I was scared and skeptical, but I can really see the difference in my body. The key is to make sure you do it every day. After the first level, it's already part of your routine and it gets easier to get done every day. Just keep reminding yourself that it's only 25 mins!

I will say from experience... I did the 30 day shred (2 x's actually).. WOWEE! Tough workout! Its awesome to be able to sweat like that and burn so many calories in 20 minutes though! The first time I did it I lost 1 pound. I only did the program consistenley for a little of 3 weeks. Even then I could tell my arms starting to get some definition and my agility def. increased. I only have about 10-15 I'd like to lose so those last ones always seem to be the hardest. the 2nd time around though.. lost 3 pounds- I did add some cardio in every evening though. I would do Jillian in the morning 1st thing.. and then try to walk the dog, ride a stationary bike, jumping jacks, ETC.. Some sort of heart pumping cardio for about 15-20 minutes every night after dinner. Thats when I really noticed the results.. It took my until about the 3rd week or so .. but I lost an inch and a half from each of my thighs.. and thats my trouble spot.. and i started to noticed some abs showing on my tummy. Best advice I can give-- no matter how bad you DONT want to do it,, just pop the dvd in and get it over with.. after 30 days you will def. see some results! Good Luck!! I know you will do great.

    :-)
