Cardio is a real struggle for me. I'm tryong to find some ways to make it better. I think having a good playlist would help. I would love to have some suggestions of songs that would help get me going and keep me moving. Thanks!!!

    I listened to dance music. If you get upbeat music that makes you want to move it is much easier.

    I don't know if this is an option for you, but the machines where I go have a TV on them. It's friggen awesome, I always have to see the end of the show that I am seeing, so thus, I have to keep going (the TV shuts off when the machine is off).

    I go to jog.fm to find music ideas. It's listed by tempo, so you can choose moderate bpm for your warm up, faster paced for getting in the groove, and so on...

    What style of music do you like?

    My top songs for cardio are..

    Limp Bizkit - break stuff & Rollin
    Breaking Benjamin- Until the end (and many other songs)
    Kid Rock - Trucker Anthem
    Foo Fighters- walk
    The Ramones- i want to be sedated

    I save these heavier songs for when I really need to push myself. I use my lighter songs for less intense cardio..

    I listen to all different genres of music from "Mmmbop" by Hanson to Motown, hardcore rap and metal, but the best music tip I can recommend is to build a playlist on your iPod and then only look at your time remaining for your cardio at the end of every song. That way you're not watching the clock every 10 seconds wondering why it's taking so long. If you play the same song to start your workouts it will condition you to get down to business as soon as you hear that song (mine is the "A Little Less Conversation" remix by Elvis). Kind of like the exercise version of being one of Pavlov's dogs, I guess.
