Just a quick question.
Do you count coffee and tea as water consumption or just plain water? If not then I need to keep drinking more because I am not getting enough.
Thanks,
Kellie

An imaginary doctor once told me that they don't count. (not srs).0 -
I only count water.
everything else I add into my food diary under its proper name, even if it has no calories.0 -
The only things I count as water are:
Water
Flavored Water (e.g. LifeWater)0 -
I made another thing on my food diary called drinks where I write all my non water drinks.. Even tho its mainly coke zero..0
-
I only count water, and If I have a coffee (or anything with caffeine) I'll add another water to my daily intake... because they are diuretics0
-
I also only count water. I keep a water bottle at my desk at work that I make myself fill at least three times a day - it was a challenge at first but I'm used to it now. I also make sure to drink at least 24 ounces within 30 minutes of working out.0

I just don't drink anything other than water nowadays. It makes it much easier to figure out! LOL0

Someone made a good comment that caffeine is a diuretic and rides the body of water. If I drink tea/coffee I do not count it as water.
The only thing I add to my water sometimes is Crystal Light packages that don't have caffeine.0 -
Same here... I only count water as water. Coffee, tea, lemonade, coke, flavoured milk etc... is separate and not pure water!0

The fluid content of coffee/tea more than compensates for the diuretic effect.0 -
I only count water.
Although, I would include tea too, especially herbal tea.0 -
The majority of what I log as water is plain water. I do count tea as water, but only when I brew it myself (I don't add any sweeteners). Iced tea is logged as iced tea, etc.0

Thanks for the quick reply's everyone. I was not sure if coffee or tea counted.
I should be drinking more 100% pure water. My hubby runs a water business and I have access to it 24/7 so no excuses for me.
Now to get motivated to drink more. I am gonna go fill me up a cup right now.
Thanks everyone...
