Fat free popcorn in microwave?
Hi,
is it possible to make popcorn in the microwave without fat and without buying a special dish?
I have tried in a plastic bowl but half of it burn before the second half is popped and I only made a very small quantity (10g).
Any tips?
Cheers

I know this!!!!!!! There was a great poster who gave this tidbit:
Put 1/4 cup of popcorn kernels in a paper lunch bag. Fold over top and tape with scotch tape. Microwave to 2 1/2 minutes and voila!~ We melt a smidge of butter and top. It makes just enough and healthy - no chemicals, oils, etc. I eat it plain and love it. It's cheaper than microwave popcorn too!
My daughter now only eats popcorn this way!0 -
Oh great - thanks both for the tip!0

THIS! I did it this way as a kid. Just a paper lunch bag (old school) and fold the top over. then you can put whatever you want. I use powdered butter flavoring or hot sause0 -
It really does work I was happy when I tried it as an adult lol make sure it's standing up with the fold on top If you put a little oil in it I would put a paper towel under it, might soak through the bag.0
