I have a friend who is a little overweight. She is 5'9" and is 234 she has a bad ankle that needs surgery. She cant get it operated on til she is 180-200 lbs. Her doctor said it wont be successful. She can exercise(low impact) but not very fast. What kind of exercises would be good for her to do? She works full time and has 2 little ones(4 and 18m) at home so not much free time. Any help would be wonderful

Yoga is a great! Also, swimming if she has access to a pool.0

Shadow boxing is great for people with limited or reduced mobility0

sheis but doesnt use it. She has celiacs too which makes eating GF another stresser she is dealing with. I told her I can 'help' but the person that has to do it is her, ultimately.0

Cycling, either outdoors or on a stationary bike is pretty low impact, and can be done as slowly or as quickly as she is able to.0

A low resistance recumbent exercise bike workout would be great. Otherwise if she can swim that would be another great low impact workout.0
