I'm 28 years old and have finally hit that late 20s metabolism slump. I managed to pack on 5-10 extra pounds and have been struggling to get them off. I work long hours which means I snack more than I'd like to (or should). So I'm looking for tips to reign in my snacking. Or even for healthier snacks!

Would love to have more friends on here

I had a similar issue, I live upstate but work in Manhattan so I wasn't going to the gym. Once I got an NYHRC membership and started working out again every morning and was drinking protein shakes for breakfast the urge to snack got a lot easier.

Welcome! Add me if you like! I'm in my early-to-mid twenties...but nevertheless feel like I may have hit a premature "slump". Always nice to have motivating friends on MFP!

I eat a LOT of raw veggies. I go through 6-7 red bell peppers, 4 bunches of celery, and sometimes a 2 lb bag of asparagus (blanched) a week. I can't get the taste out of my mouth (not bad, just weird), but the snacking keeps me full without a lot of calories. I also love cheddar or ranch rice cakes for a no sugar/low carb, crunchy savory snack. My trainer snacks on raw broccoli and cauliflower. I don't like it so I don't, :) but she swears by it.

I'm happy you're here and getting involved in the community, the support really helps!
