I am sooo uncoordinated and they move so fast! I did sweat however, probably from moving/flapping/kicking every part of my body while trying to copy them lol

It's still fun, and it gets easier. Keep going back, everyone had to start where you are now. You'll see a big improvement quickly.0

The more you go the easier it gets, trust me!0

I was the same way!! Lol wasn't the workout for me!!!0 -
I hear you! Did Zumba on the Kinect and it played it back to me.. Yeah i looked like a damn fool!0
-
I wasn't crazy about it.0

i agree with the above posters, keep going the moves will come in time.
so long as you have fun, sweat, and keep moving somewhat in time with the music ITS ALL GOOD!0 -
Haha...yes that would be me as well...I've been curious if there is a good Zumba workout tape or Zumba for the Wii....has anyone tried that?0
-
I'm not a dance kind of person.
I am now a convert to kettlebells. Cardio and weights all in one.
It's fun!0 -
It took me a few classes, as long as I went when it was the same instructor, to get the stuff down. If you enjoyed it keep going. For me it wasn't hardcore enough but it was a fun thing to do on the side.0

I always thought I had pretty decent rhythm, going dancing with the girls and such. Zumba makes me feel a bit like a klutz. But I still enjoy it. It does get easier after a while. If you enjoy the music and the moves, I say try it a few more times.0
-
you will get better at it trust me! I was all over the place when i started doing it on the wii. my balance was awful! =/. the more i practiced the better i got just takes time, you will get there0
-
i've never tried it because i know i would fail so bad! try it a couple more times, and if you hate it, find another class you actually like!0
-
I'm a Zumba disaster too. But I keep going, since I burn in excess of 500 calories in an hour. Even uncoordinated people still burn a ton0
-
KEEP IT UP!!!!!!! Dont worry about keeping it up, its all good. You will adventually get it, as long as ur moving you r burning so just enjoy it, I love it!!:bigsmile:0

I agree. The more you go the better it gets. It may not help your coordination but its fun and it works. Go for it.0

ZUMBA = an introverts worst nightmare!
No thanks!0 -
Dont stop going! I swear you will learn the moves and the workout is AMAZING! Everyone starts off that way. Stick to it and you won't regret it!0

Tell you what I know,......I'm 51 and the First time I went to Zumba, I was the Bigest Gal there, But not the Oldest, So I got with the Hens and they told me this, What Ever you do Just Keep Moving! I Did and am wondering why I'm Not doing Zumba now! You can do it!0

There is a Zumba game for Wii, XBox Kinnect and PS3 Move. I have it for the Move. Fun stuff! There are DVDs available as well. I love the express 20 minute workout for days when you're short on time. The games and videos are cool, but I love taking an actual Zumba class the most0

Everybody fails Zumba the first few times they try it! Give it 5 times then pass/fail yourself!0

Zumba is awesome! The first time i tried it i must of been 260lbs... so anyone can do it... you just do what you can and yes, it does get easier as time goes! I still do it and along with exercise and eatting well i am now down to 215lbs.... I actually just started using this site and i love it ! ...... With zumba i sweat like crazy, it really depends how much you put into it... i feel like a fool still but as long as your moving that's what matters! lol0
-
It usually takes 5-7 classes to get the "moves" down. Don't give up, it is great exercise!! I love Zumba. If you have a Wii, they have zumba on there, and you can learn some of the moves and songs on there, in the comfort of your own home before you get back into the class. Good luck!!0

It takes a while to get the moves down. You might try finding one of the DVDs that breaks down the basic moves. They come as part of the sets, but you can probably find the individual DVD on Ebay.0 -
I love Zumba! If you keep at it, you'll catch on. Just takes awhile. It will certainly kick your butt!!!! I miss Zumba.. can no longer do it because of a knee injury and it's just too high impact. :ohwell:0

Hi, yes Zumba is alot of fun and you will sweat, sweat, and sweat! Yes, it is very fast, but keep going and you will learn the routines and love it, because you will burn alot ot calories!!!0

I do Zumba on the wii and no one can see me screwing up but myself lol I have a blast with it...0 -
I've lost 20 lbs doing Zumba. I have to admit, I'm a 22 year dancer so the moves were a little easier to pick up, but I still had fail moments. You have to listen to the music. It's pretty much repetition of the steps, especially the chorus. I got the Wii Zumba first and burned that way, then picked up a class (hated it.. it was NOT zumba but Sr. Citizen line dancing through the adult school... blah), and found a better class so now I go 3 x's a week. It takes time.. just like weight loss, you don't learn it overnight.0

I love AquaZumba. The regular Zumba? Had to quit halfway through. So hard on my joints.
Maybe when I lose a bit more weight it will be easier0 -
I've been doing Zumba for quite a while now - we have a brilliant trainer, and I may not be as elegant as the others, but I think the feeling is, if Trish can do it, we're going to at least try! Each time is a little better/fitter/enjoyable, I have great mates, and I recently had the confidence to use some of the moves at a friend's Wedding Reception!0
