Last weeks episode the kid lost 70lbs in 7 weeks!! & last season the 2 females lost 90lbs in 90 days or suttin like that. I was just curious if anyone knew exactly how many calories the girls eat a day & the guys? Also what type of workouts do they do & for how many hours a day? I'm assuming like 6-7 hours a day? Is it like the biggest loser? b/c I know its from same the same producers. & This season B.L the one guy lost 70lbs in 3 weeks, I'm just curious what exactly do these people do, how long they exercise & how many calories they eat?

I understand they are under professionals and doctors but still I am extremely curious & would love to know. :)

IDK...but I'm so sure its NOT healthy.
  • Um, most of the people on that show are clinically obese when they start, so it's much easier for them to lose weight. Much of it is water weight that just passes quickly once you change your diet and begin workouts. Fat goes quickly too when you have trainers and food specialists watching over you every minute too. I'm sure if you knew what they did it'd be very similar to what you do and not make much of the difference.

They're being supervised by doctors and professionals and no ones died yet so it can't be all that bad. :)
  • I don't mean that it's dangerous for you to do it without being monitored, but there's really no way to copy or achieve their results without that kind of help.

I don't know about this new show, but on the Biggst Loser the "weekly" weigh-ins that we see on TV are after a minumum of 10 days of strict dieting and insanely intense exercising. So they're technically not losing as much per week as it seems, but it still is stellar. I also believe that you don't need to be THAT strict to have good results, and that if you lose slower that you are more likely to keep it off.

males lose weight much quicker then females! from what i have read there is a lot of misconseptions about the biggest loser like a week isn't really a week and they don't drink water the day they weight in. As far as the MTV show goes, that is their full time job for the summer. The episode from this week was much more realistic as far as weight loss goes. They work out all day several times a day it seems. and eat a low cal/ carb diet. They don't tell you how many calories they eat so people don't try to copy it. I am curious if they eat back excersise calories or not because that seems near impossible.
  • I dont know the answer. But I saw the show and what a cutie that boy is. Such a great story!
