Water is a no go this week. I have slacked too much. I can only drink 5 cups and I use Crystal Light to make it easier to get down. Any pointers?

Keep it available. When I'm at work I keep my bottle between my hand and my mouse, so when I go to move to it from the keyboard it's in the way - which reminds me to drink.0

When I switched to water in April, I didn't really like it. I mean, sure, the occasional water fountain *drink* was fine if I was thirsty....but I would drink anything but water. They say that water is an acquired taste and your body starts to like it. From my personal experience, this was absolutely true. Since mid April, I have had something other than water or sobe lifewater less than a dozen times. I don't miss soda. I don't miss sugary drinks. and, more often than not, plain water is satisfying. I do like a sobe lifewater once or twice a day...but outside of that, its just good ol' plain water.
for you, I'd give water a little more time. maybe your body/taste buds will come to enjoy it.
also, you may want to try drinking it with a straw...at least for now.0 -
A sipper bottle - keep it at hand and before you know it you're through a couple of litres. Not sure what Crystal Lite is but it doesn't sound healthy LOL. Maybe try some lemon juice?0

You can only drink 5 cups? Eat broth based soup.0

just keep a bottle in your hand.
i drink 5 cups of water after a workout easily.
8 cups really shouldn't be tough for anyone.0 -
If you want some flavor, try SOBE 0 calorie lifewater. it has some neat flavors. I've started to have 1 afterbreakfast/in the car, and then refill it with plain water a couple times at work, easily 10 cups total.0

try sipping constantly throughout the day, rather than drinking a full glass/bottle at a time. Every 10 minutes, sip!
Crystal light helps me drink more, but sometimes I crave the carbonation of soda. Choose something decaf- like a flavored sparkling water. I water these down or mix them into crystal light so I don't get hooked on soda. I also find the bottle I use really changes how much I drink! I don't know if it's the mouth size or a mental thing, but I buy the Evian litre bottles just so I can have the bottles to refill and reuse. I drink so much more that way, and something about only having to drink 3 of those per day instead of 12 cups. (i tend toward dry skin and I workout (sweat) regularly, so try to drink a bit more than "recommended." Plus, I tend to eat less when I drink more!)
Also, try changing it up with hot tea or chicken broth to sip on. My favorites are vanilla caramel when I'm trying to forego dessert, or mint tea.0
