Don't keep them in the house, out of sight out of mind!

It's probably on temporary. I was that way on cake not too long ago...

    Don't give up though!

Stop buying them. You might be a little deficient in magnesium. Try supplementing your diet with almonds, brazil nuts, cashews, artichokes, beans if you eat them, pumpkin seeds, or spinach when the craving is really hitting you. Alternatively, you can use 2 cups of epsom salts in a hot bath----soak for 20 minutes. If you do buy chocolate, buy the darkest chocolate that you can take (I find that Green & Black organic's 85% dark is still creamy and slightly sweet). Then allow each bite to melt over your tongue slowly. ENJOY them...SLOWLY.

Any cravings I have like that, I force myself to drink either a liter or 2 liters of water first (depending on the craving). If I still want it after that, I go ahead and eat it.

It's easier to choose something else if chocolate isn't in your house. I need to follow that. ha

The one saying I always did like from Weight Watchers is "You can't eat what you don't buy." It's true - don't have it around. I can do fine until it's in the house. I can't stop once I have some in the house.

I believe in moderation, which means finding what chocolate you can have in the house and enjoy a reasonable amount of daily within your calorie goals.

For me, it's Dove Dark Chocolate Promises. The pieces are small. I eat a couple slowly, and my chocolate needs are satisfied.

I prefer higher quality chocolate, but since I tend to want to binge on those, I only buy them on rare occasions.

If you're talking about small chocolates like mini bars or Dove pieces, 2 or 3 is not a binge. As long as you've got the calories (or can burn a little extra) there's nothing wrong with a little chocolate on a regular basis.

If you're talking about regular sized chocolate bars, I agree with the others that you're just going to have to buck up with the willpower. Don't buy them... If they're already around you free like at work, find something else you'll enjoy just as much but is lower in calories/fat like one of those Fiber Plus snack bars.

I like the idea of making a deal with yourself. You can only have it if you drink all your water or go to the gym first...whatever it takes to regain the control.

    Try Le Whif breathable chocolate.
  • When I start eating my dark chocolate I don't want to stop but someone mentioned to me to try drinking light hot cocoa its about 20 cals and its been working good so far I only drink it when I really have the craving and I just don't buy chocolate that way if I don't know I have it I wont eat it all...I had to try a few different things before I could figure out what would work someone told me to freeze it so I ate it slower but I LOVE CHOCOLATE. Lol good luck

Get 90% dark chocolate. Hopefully the bitterness will slow you down. That thing is bitter but good for you so you won't feel so guilty if you eat a lot.

I just don't buy it. I was giving chocolate from a friend, and its still sitting there untouched. Just need some willpower.

you gotta tell yourself that you can't buy it. I only buy ghiradelli chocolate squares that come prepackaged so I'll grab one every once in a while after dinner if I need a sweet taste and I always make sure I have the cals for it. Try to keep yourself out of the kitchen by keeping busy. When I'm thinking about chocolate midday it usually means its lunch time and I'm getting hungry so maybe dinner time is early for you today? See how you feel after having a nutritious meal. Also sometimes we tell ourselves we're hungry and want to snack when really we're just thirsty. Go drink some water and see how you feel after. Good luck!

I am like your average female and love a bit of chocolate but I know my own downfalls Milk Chocolate only ever leaves me wanting more I can never stop at one, I hated white chocolate as it was too sickly sweet but now I quite enjoy a funsize milkybar as I know that I couldn't eat anymore than that and also like Dark Chocolate as again I would struggle to eat too much! So I have learned any chocolate is good chocolate and no longer eat milk!
