Pumpkin Spice Protein Smoothie

Options
Saw this post, it looks delicious!

½ cup canned pumpkin
1 cup almond milk
½ a banana
1 tbsp of raisins
1 scoop of vanilla protein powder
½ tsp vanilla extract
sprinkle nutmeg, cinnamon and ginger

Blend it all together

Not sure about the nutrition, doesn't seem too bad.

I make a pumpkin smoothie on occasion.

I use 1 scoop vanilla protein powder at 100 calories, 1 cup skim milk, 1/2 cup pure pumpkin and pumpkin pie spice. The vanilla protein powder sweetens it enough for me.

While banana and raisins sound good I'd rather not use the additional calories.

Good call. That sounds like a good modification.

As a pumpkin spice everything addict, I love this idea, especially the lower calorie modification (omitting banana and raisins). I always have ground pumpkin spice around to add to my coffee.

Sounds good, I would probably do the modification as well, not a huge raisin fan. ;)

Note: My husband thinks he needs to add some sort of sweetener to this so he sometimes adds a tsp of splenda brown sugar... Whatever:)

Bonus: often times when I have some of this smoothie leftover (too much for my cup) I'll add it to my coffee. Just stir it really well until its mixed thoroughly. It isn't quite the pumpkin spice latte from SB but it does remind me of it.
