How do you like your lentils?
I love the lentil soup I get at my middle eastern restaurant, so I tried to recreate it at home. Didn't quite turn out like the restaurant's but it is still tasty! This is the recipe I used.

I have made this lentil soup recipe before and it is really good.

That does look good too. I've always wanted to try to make a black bean burger so this is similar to it. I'm with you on the quinoa. I am not a fan. Made it once and threw most of it out. Maybe it was the recipe.0 -
honey baked in the crockpot, or in soup.0

I make a curry soup with my lentils...
2 onions finely diced
2 carrots finely diced
2 celery sticks finely diced
2 cloves garlic, crushed
1 teaspoon curry powder (add more if you like it stronger)
1 tablespoon tomato puree
125g red lentils
2.5 pints vegetable stock
salt and black pepper to taste
I bung it all in a pot and boil/simmer until soft then i blitz about half of the mixture in a liquidiser til smooth and add back to the chunkier portion....love it and it comes out at about 90 cals per portion based on the above making 6 servings0 -
I cooked lentils for soup a few nights ago and I reserved some of the lentils to eat on top of a baked potato with sauteed onions and mushrooms as well. Both the soup and the potato were super good!0
